OU vs UTEP will kickoff at 9:30: Sooner coach Bob Stoops, however, has no problem with the late start.
"We had a hand in that," Stoops said Monday at Big 12 Football Media Days in Dallas. "(UTEP coach) Mike Price and me and our athletic directors because TV was talking 1:30 (p.m.). It would be 130 on that turf. I get tired of the night games and Mike and I talked and our ADs are great at listening. For the player’s health and even recovering after … we don’t want to play in 130 degrees at 1:30 in El Paso, Texas. It’s 30-40 degrees different at night." (Norman Transcript)
