Sooners offers RB Brennan Clay scholarship: Oklahoma Sooners offered highly touted running back Brennan Clay from Scripps Ranch HS (San Deigo, CA) a scholarship, the 6-foot, 185-pound back ranks among the best in the nation. He was ranked at No. 112 overall previously on Rivals 100 but is now the No. 41 player in the nation and the No. 2 all-purpose back.
Clay told ESPN.com he's excited about the offer.
"I was hyped to get the offer from Oklahoma," Clay said. "That's a big-time school and I'm definitely planning to take an official visit there in the fall. Right now, I know where four of my visits will be and I have one date set.
"I'm going to Michigan (Sept. 18) when they play Eastern Michigan. I'm also going to visit Oregon, Georgia and Oklahoma and I'm keeping that fifth visit open right now. I'm also going to take unofficial visits in June to Stanford and Cal and all of those schools have offered me."
